Saint Ludger

When Ludger was a little boy he heard a priest speak about Jesus and it really touched his heart, this priest later became a Saint, his name is St. Boniface. So when Ludger was old enough he became a priest and he turned many peoples’ hearts toward Jesus, just like St. Boniface. Suddenly Barbarians (people who want power) attacked the Netherlands and kicked all the priests out, because they did not want anyone to believe in God. Fr. Ludger escaped to Rome to ask the Pope for guidance. He lived in a monastery for 3 years with the monks and then King Charlemange of the Netherlands asked Fr. Ludger to return and continue his mission. He became Bishop and continued sharing the gospel and doing good works. Even on the day he died he celebrated two masses; it was Passion Sunday.
