Blessed Henry of Treviso

Henry was born into a poor family.  His parents could not afford to send him to school, so he never learned to read or write, but this did not stop him from learning the ways of God.  He worked hard everyday, doing whatever was asked of him.  Of all the money that he made, he would keep only what he needed for that day, the rest he gave away to the poor.  The rest of the day he spent praying, going to mass and going to confession as often as he could.  When he got too old to work, he lived with a kind man who gave him a room in his home.  He lived from whatever the people of the town would give him and he would always give away what he did not need for the day.  Near the end of his life, he could hardly walk, but he would still go to mass every day.  After he died, many of the people from town came to see his body and many, many miracles were reported to have happened through the intercession of Blessed Henry of Treviso.
