Frederick’s grandpa was a King, so he came from a very important family. Frederick could have been anything he wanted, but he chose to be a priest. He worked hard to become a really good priest and, because of this, he was put in charge of taking care of all the new people coming into the Church. He was later made Bishop of Utrecht, where he really cared for his people. He made sure that there was a lot of missionary work being done to spread the Good News of God’s love to everyone. Not everyone liked Bishop Frederick, because they did not believe in God and they did not like that he wanted them to believe. So one day, he was killed by two people that did not like him, but He died praising God.
